The Canadian Association for Spiritual Care (CASC/ACSS) Sacred/Entheogenic Medicines & Psychedelic Therapies Circle began forming in 2022, and our ToR was formally endorsed by the Board in December 2023.

Our work is to provide guidance and support to the Board and commissions on ethical involvement in this intersecting field; we resource and liaison for CASC members; and are developing partnerships, and advocacy in view of developing specialized training for spiritual care providers in sacred medicine. 

We are rooted and informed by principles including as Etuaptmumk, multi-eyed seeing”; Truth & Reconciliation; anti-racist, anti-oppressive practice, justice, equity, and inclusion for marginalized peoples and non-human beings; through trauma-informed; and harm reduction.
